one of the nice qualities of these two cards is, that each works differently than the other. keep working on variations of approach. and maybe think along the lines of the "emblematic" algebraic approach we looked at, the idea of A + B + C = X. what kinds of substitutions of variables, their relationship to each other. also, can an element be brought in from "elsewhere," in some incongruous / "odd" construction.
